FINE ART
Asphyxiation
Asphyxiation was created in Principles of 2-D Art and Design. This assignment shows cases the elements of line and shape. With the addition of line weight, line texture, and the principles of design: scale, emphasis, variety, unity, balance, repetition.
TUG OF WAr
Tug of War was created as my capstone project in Principles of 2-D Art and Design. This piece is a really personal piece. I'm not the best when it comes to explaining my art because lots of times, I draw how I feel without much thought; but at the same time, I put a lot of thought into it. One moment I'm using my brain, the next moment I'm drawing my feelings. It’s a constant tug of war on my body between my brain and feelings. I have two sides of me fighting against each other that I become overwhelmed that I
just crack in half.
My Ship
My Ship was created in High School, my senior year. This piece was nominated and selected as PBS39 News, Artist of the Month in September. In this project we were tasked with creating a mix media drawing. I took my favorite 3 drawing materials and meshed them together to create a self portrait of me looking through the window of a ship.
Fruit Basket
Fruit Basket was a still-life created in Drawing I and submitted to the Patrick J. Kraus Freshman Drawing Competition Endowment Scholarship. This drawing won first-place in the competition. This project easily took over 30hrs to create.
This is easily one of my favorite still-lives I
have ever created!
The boys
The Boys was a perspective drawing created in Drawing I. I asked the boys in my class to pose dynamically above my phone to give me a fun perspective. Then I decided to add even more fun elements in the drawing to make it more visually interesting.
Taking
a Walk
Taking a Walk was collaborative piece created in Drawing I. In the beginning of the project, we were asked to draw on pieces of paper, rip them, and then paste it on a bigger sheet on paper. Then we swapped papers and are assignment became, use the cut pieces of paper in a creative way. I decided to use the pieces of paper for their facial features like the noses, and eyes.
